When you visit the North Fork you feel like you've gone back in
time. The North Fork is off the power grid. If you want electric
you have to use a generator. A large portion of the North Fork
doesn't even have telephone service (but we do). This patch of
Montana is the wildest section of private land in the Lower 48
states. It is surrounded by the most pristine mountain environment
Montana has to offer. As prime habitat for grizzlies, black bear,
wolves, wolverines, lynx, moose, elk, deer, mountain lion and
countless other species...wildlife sightings are often.

| Lake Francis is a popular back country
destination accessible from the North Fork. |

The federally designated wild and scenic Flathead
River provides terrific opportunities for fly-fishing, rafting,
kayaking or just enjoying the scenic beauty and wildlife along
it's banks. With the river, lakes, Glacier National Park and the
North Fork at your doorstep, hiking, mountain biking, wildlife
and water activities are only a few minutes away.
Opportunities for hiking in the North Fork abound,
whether you take the short and scenic trip up to the Cyclone Firetower
lookout for a spectacular 360-degree view into Glacier Park and
all of the North Fork....or hike a more extended trip into the
Flathead National Forest backcountry. Horseman can enjoy the trails
in the TuChuck area. There isn't much in the way of services in
the North Fork. And that's the point!
That's where the Home Ranch Bottoms shines. We are an oasis of
services for those who just can't do without. Hot showers, laundry,
Internet and needed supplies are available. You can rest
up from your day's activity and relax with your favorite libation
in the friendly atmosphere of The Bottoms tavern.
We truly are your convenience stop in the wilderness.
