Camping Regulations and Guidelines

We have a very limited number of camp sites. This makes our location ideal for those who want to get away from the typical campground setting. We have electric hookups. We operate our business on generator power making it cost prohibitive to provide electric.

  • $35 per night...plus 7% tax
  • Prices are for two adults. Each additional person is $12 per night...plus 7% tax
  • We impose a limit of six persons per site.
  • For less than a week stay, the deposit is the cost of one night's stay.
  • By the week or month, the deposit is 50% of the weekly or monthly cost.
  • We accept VISA, MASTERCARD and AMERICAN EXPRESS.
  • Rate includes shower use for each paid person.
  • Payment for weekly and monthly rates must be made in advance. Early departure is non-refundable.
  • Please expect to handle your own trash disposal. We are located thirty miles from the nearest town offering trash disposal. Trash removal services are non-existent in the North Fork

    Bowman Creek
    Bowman Creek empties into the North Fork of the Flathead River just a few minutes northeast of Home Ranch Bottoms.

    For those more adventurous, backpacking is a great way to explore the beauty of Glacier National Park.

 

 
  • Check out time is 12:00 pm, noon. If staying another night, please register by 12:30 pm
  • Camp only in designated and assigned sites.
  • Pitch tents in the designated assigned site only.
  • Leave all items, tables, logs, rocks, etc. as you find them. Do not dig, trench, or level the ground. Do not drive nails into or strip bark from trees.
  • There is a campsite limit of six persons per site.
  • Two vehicles per site are permitted.
  • Group sites for organized groups are available with special arrangements.
  • Stays for campers with horses and/or mules are available with special arrangements.
  • Secure your valuables! We are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property.
  • Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 7:30 am. Please be considerate of your neighbor. Activities must be kept to a level that ensures noise does not disturb others.
  • Unreasonable idling of motor vehicles is prohibited.
  • Generators may not be operated during quiet hours.
  • Generator use within the campground is permitted only between the hours of 7:00 am to 9:00 am, 12 noon to 2:00 pm, and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
  • Black bears and grizzly bears are common in the North Fork. Their pursuit of food causes them to seek out food stored by visitors and other sources of human scent. Soap, toiletries, and scented items may be an invitation to bears. To help reduce the instances of human/bear conflicts, please follow all of our guidelines.
  • Keep a clean camp! When not in immediate use, all food, food scraps, beverages, coolers, stoves, grills, cooking utensils, food containers, and pet food must be kept in a closed hard-sided vehicle, day or night! This is for your safety and the safety of others around you.
  • Packs, sleeping bags, and clothes should be kept free of food odors. As a precaution against the presence of food odors, wash your hands and face before retiring. If possible, do not sleep in clothes worn while cooking.
  • We do not provide facilities for campers without vehicles.
  • All dishwashing must be done at your camp site but not at the water faucets. Washing dishes, clothing, people, or cleaning fish at water faucets is prohibited. Wash dishes in your campsite; filter food scraps and contain them in a plastic bag secured in your vehicle.
  • Washing of vehicles and vehicle maintenance (such as changing oil, etc.) on premises is prohibited.
  • Mountain lion sightings have increased in the last few years, occasionally near campgrounds. Although usually secretive and seldom seen, mountain lions are potentially dangerous to humans, and there have been rare attacks.
  • Closely supervise children whenever they are outdoors.
  • Pets are not permitted. Horses and mules are permitted but require prior arrangements.
  • All incoming visitors must check in.
  • No vehicle may exceed 10 mph. This includes bicycles, ATV’s, motorcycles, golf carts, cars, trucks and all other vehicles, motorized or non-motorized.
  • All storage outside is prohibited. Storage under vehicles and trailers is not allowed. You may leave patio furniture outside, but all other items must be stored in your vehicle and out of sight.
  • The North Fork is particularly sensitive to fire. Only enclosed, supervised fires are permitted, and only when forest fire danger is low. Chimeneas, portable outside fireplaces, gas grills and charcoal grills are permitted at RV sites. Ground fires are never permitted at any RV site. Charcoal may never be dumped on the ground even when cool.
  • Gathering of firewood is prohibited on the premises or on adjacent property. Firewood is available for sale at the store.
  • Fireworks are prohibited.
  • Discharge and/or use of any weapon is prohibited.
  • Children are always welcome at the Home Ranch. Parents must exercise extreme caution and must keep a close eye on their children’s activities.
  • Equines: Per Montana law, an equine activities sponsor or equine owner’s agent is not liable for injury to or death of a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risk of equine activities.
  • Deposits are non-refundable. They are returned on the last day of the agreed upon stay.
